A starting point to setup or build your kit
This is a brief look at the general idea of workflow involving an IFAK/TFAK following the MARCHE methodology for trauma management. In medicine, things change regularly, so this is not the ONLY WAY but it is a WAY. As always, what works for you may not always work for someone else, just remember that in some respects, uniformity is imperative.
A breakdown of the GBC type-C IFAK
This is the complete contents list of the GBC type-C IFAK. Note that it doubles a lot of the equipment that is generally singular in the type-B IFAK. The reasoning behind this is that this was designed as more of a CLS (Combat Life Saver) kit that is not as large as the actual CLS kit to reduce size and weight on an individual operator who is not the team designated medic. This type of IFAK would be deployed when intelligence suggests a higher threat matrix or there is an extended range/time before medevac can occur. This idea allows more trauma medical supplies to be spread amongst the team instead of all being placed on the medic which is important should a split-cell incident occur in a fluid environment.
